A singer of diverse talents, Nigerian American Baritone, Babatunde Akinboboye is known for his enthralling stage presence. Combining classical opera and hip hop, Babatunde created the genre we never knew we needed: Hip Hopera.

Summer Stage FAQs:

  • Check-in opens at 5:00pm. Show is from 5:30-6:45pm.
  • Tickets are required for children 2 and up. 

  • There will be an open area for seating in Filoli's Meadow and we encourage you to bring lawn chairs or a thick blanket to comfortably enjoy the scenic terrain. Chairs are not provided.
  • The Bluebird Bar will serve beer, wine, canned cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks starting 30 minutes before the performance begins.

  • Food will be available for purchase. 

  • No outside food or beverages are permitted.

  • Tickets for general admission and ticketed events are not refundable or reschedulable. Tickets are transferable. Filoli is open rain or shine and does not issue refunds due to weather.

  • It is a 3-5 minute stroll from the ticket kiosk to the Meadow. Please allow time to check-in, walk to the Meadow, and get refreshments. In the Meadow, you will encounter various types of terrain including dirt paths, a meadow grass field, and uneven areas with bark.
