Redwood Performances Presents: My Dog Jack

An evening of live music, fresh air, and Redwood magic. Join San Francisco-based band My Dog Jack for a spirited 90-minute set of original songs infused with the warm nostalgia of old Dylan tapes—perfectly at home among the towering trees.

Client shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless Filoli, National Trust for Historic Preservation, their employees, contractors and agents, at the Client’s sole expense, from and against any and all claims, actions, losses, damages, fines, taxes, penalties, settlements, attorneys’ fees, cost or other monetary sums which may be incurred by Filoli, arising from, relating to, or in connection with any liability, acts, omissions of Client, Client’s employees, agents, affiliates, or customers, that may arise out of, or related to this Agreement.

Excused Non-Performance (Force Majeure):

1. Filoli assumes no responsibility for any liability that may arise from the use of the property or equipment, or any failure or cancellation of service due to an act of nature, civil unrest, or other cause beyond our reasonable control (including any mechanical, electronic, or communications failure).

Cancellation:

1. Filoli has a graduated cancellation policy, as follows:

1. Cancellation 30+ days prior to the event date: Deposit can be used as a credit toward a future event within 12 months of cancellation.

2. Cancellation less than 30 days prior to the event: Deposit is forfeited.

Service Learning: Summer Refresh 

August 4th, 6th, 8th | 9am–12pm

Filoli’s Service Learning is a chance for the local community to give back to the historic Estate. Volunteers will work alongside Filoli’s Horticulture Team weeding to prepare the ground for laying mulch, and laying fresh or augmenting existing mulch in cropped areas such as cutting garden, vegetable garden, or dahlias. 

Cost: Free; reservation required. 

Participants receive free admission to Filoli on the day of the program. 

Sunset Hikes

Discover a different side of Filoli on this exclusive two-mile guided hike through trails rarely open to the public. As part of Summer Nights, venture beyond the Garden into the estate’s natural landscape and watch the day slip into evening. 

With golden light filtering through the trees and wildlife stirring for the night, this immersive sunset stroll offers a fresh, unforgettable perspective on Filoli.

Each Experience includes:

Miss Emu and Her Lost Characters

A Cozy Forest Adventure Awaits!

Head into Filoli’s Redwoods for Children’s Redwood Theater, where stories come to life and laughter fills the forest. Kick things off with Rabbit Hole Theater’s Miss Emu and Her Lost Characters—a story about a famous author in the Queendom whose storybook characters have run away, and it’s up to us to help find them! 1. Filoli has a graduated cancellation policy, as follows:

a) Cancellation 30+ days prior to the event date: Deposit can be used as a credit toward a future event within 12 months of cancellation.

b) Cancellation less than 30 days prior to the event: Deposit is forfeited.

Inclement Weather:

Filoli is open rain or shine and does not issue refunds due to weather.

Service Learning: Preparing for Fall

September 1, 3, 5 | 9am–12pm

Filoli’s Service Learning program invites the local community to help care for the historic Estate. Working alongside Filoli’s Horticulture Team, volunteers will take part in meaningful garden projects such as harvesting plant materials for fall displays and donations, weeding to prepare beds, and laying or refreshing mulch in areas like the cutting and vegetable gardens.

Cost: Free; reservation required. 

Participants receive free admission to Filoli on the day of the program. 

Stories in Bloom: Rooted in Pride with Yosimar Reyes

June 12 | 2–3pm

Spend an afternoon with Santa Clara County’s Poet Laureate, Yosimar Reyes, as he brings powerful poetry and storytelling to life. His deeply personal work explores identity, migration, queerness, and the search for belonging.

Service Learning: APGA Prep

As Filoli prepares to welcome garden professionals from across the country for the American Public Gardens Association National Conference, our Service Learning program invites community members to help ready the estate. Working alongside Filoli’s Horticulture Team, volunteers take part in hands-on garden care: mulching, weeding, path maintenance, and brick cleaning, helping ensure the historic gardens look their best.
